Proving Up A rendezvous with rambunctious Wyoming homesteader Elinore Pruitt Stewart. March 15, 2018 Victoria Walsh Elinore lived out her ranch life dreams, working the homestead on a horse-drawn mower in 1925, the year before her unfortunate accident.

Those letters, which reveal an adventurous, capable, and resourceful woman of lively intelligence, were published in two collections in 1914 and 1915. The first of those collections, Letters of a Woman Homesteader, was Elinore Pruitt Stewart (1876-1933) was a homesteader in Wyoming and a memoirist who, between 1909 and 1914, wrote a series of engaging letters describing her life.
